**IJ Nagrath**is the Assistant Professor and former Deputy Director , BITS , Pilani .

He is the author of several books on the major modern engineering such as Power System Analysis, robotics and control, calculation and analog simulation, and basic electrical engineering. His research has been published in major technical journals.

Teacher. Nagrath received his MS from the University of Wisconsin , USA. He also worked extensively in the fields of robotics , signals and systems , and power.

**Mr. Gopal**is a professor of electrical engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT ) , New Delhi.

His research focuses on the robust control , and Fuzzy Neural Technologies, Process Control, and Robotics . He is the author of numerous books on Control Engineering , including the modern theory of system control , digital control engineering and control systems : Principles and Design.

He has taught at IIT Bombay , BITS , Pilani , and REC , Jaipur. He also worked as a guest professor emeritus at the Center Control Engineering at City University .

**1.**He did not give the basic definitions of any subject . In the first chapter itself, he did not specify what exactly servo etc. The whole text / theory is the book of examples and examples. The author fails to bind the way the example is related to the issue .

for example, even text is given to closed-loop system and a servomechanism directly using a missile working mechanism . But what is Closed Loop and enslavement, I had to look on the internet to get the meaning and the correct definition .

Ditto for the other topics in this book , no theory , working directly with some unnecessary simplistic sy ... ( Expand)

**2.**This book has no examples after every topic. A book is good if things are clear , once studied. But I feel only few concept are clear and most subjects are made unnecessarily difficult . only two problems Bode plot does not bode clear. this book looks good to go through the topics ideally , because properly colored. but it is not a good book for the preparation as GATE / PSU / ESE . I do not know why this book was written in a way effortlessly.
